2021 Golf Tournament Re-cap

Thank you to everyone who participated in and donated to our first Musoke Golf and Corn Hole Invitational this past Friday at Southridge Greens! We had 44 golfers and 16 corn hole players, and a great time was had by all. The weather was beautiful, and we were treated by the Blue Angels practicing overhead for a couple hours, getting ready for the big air show over the weekend.

Thank you to our event volunteers Chuck Pieper, Kaleb Davis, and Elisa Thrasher, and Clark Wolter of Clark Peak Design for doing an amazing job on promotional materials.

Hole sponsors and prize donors: Clark Peak Design, Chik-Fil-A, Poudre Valley Coop, Peas and Hoppiness, Thivent Financial, X Golf, Scott Family Health, Outpost Sunsport, Scott Peterson Mortgage Team, Colorado Real Estate Pros, Connecting Signs, the Business Card Factory, Mavrick, Scheels, Sams Club, USA Liberty Arms, the Rosenbergs, and Dyekman Trophies.

Golfers receiving instructions prior to the shotgun start at 1:00pm. Players stocked up on mulligans, strings, strokes, ups, etc. to get that competitive edge!

Jonah Kent, up-and-coming golf star, guaranteed on-the-green tee shots from hole #14 for a small donation to Musoke. :-) More than one of his shots landed just a few feet from the pin.

Corn hole was in full swing in front of the driving range, with a double elimination bracket. Here, Matt and Sam Rise battle The Reeses Pieces.

First prize went to Harry Tillman, Mike Bernstein, Brian Kading, and Jason Dubois.

Longest Putt: Patrick Kent

Longest Drive: Nick Stevens Jr.

Closest to the Pin: Austin Snow

Corn Hole Champions: Kristin, Mark and Brennan Reese

Lacey Jo Mirus and Julia Riedel won Best Dressed among the corn hole teams!

Julia Riedel tries to focus while competitor Brennan Reese looks on.

It was a special treat to see the Blue Angels up close above the course!
